Bentley has been Katie's best friend and partner for years. He was the first horse to go through her training program. Before Katie bought Bentley he had suffered a serious abscess, a large portion of his hoof from toe to cornet band had to be removed, one vet even mentioned putting him down due to the extent of the injury. During his recovery, Bentley suffered periodic lameness and was on strict stall rest. Bentley's hoof issues were supposed to haunt him for the rest of his life with recurring soreness. However, Bentley has fully recovered and is completely sound. Katie has successfully shown him in hunter/jumper, western pleasure, pleasure driving, trail, and low level eventing. They have shown at the local, 4h, and USEF A rated level. They have won many blues and championships together. In 2006, Bentley and Katie joined the Washington College Equestrian Team in the Centerville, MD Christmas parade. Not only is Bentley versatile but he truly enjoys his many talents and practicing them. Brideless is his favorite.
